# HubSpot

Deploy Aissist in HubSpot (beta) - sign in, choose the inboxes it manages, set the actor, escalation and handover rules.

*Last updated: October 25, 2026*

Deploy Aissist in HubSpot so it answers conversations in the inboxes you choose, tags them, and hands over to your team. Read [Deploy](/tutorial/deploy.md) first for the steps every gateway shares.

{% hint style="info" %}
The HubSpot gateway is in beta.
{% endhint %}

### Prepare HubSpot

* Pick or create the user Aissist will answer as. A dedicated user works best.
* Route the conversations Aissist should handle into one inbox.

### Connect HubSpot

1. Go to **Deploy → Gateways**, click **Add Gateway** and choose **Hubspot**.
2. On **Connect**, choose a HubSpot connector, or create one and click **Save and sign in with HubSpot**.
3. Approve Aissist in HubSpot for your portal.

The connector keeps the sign-in fresh. The gateway shows the portal ID it is connected to.

### Set up the agent

* **Managing Points (Inboxes)**: the inboxes Aissist manages. You can route tickets to them by hand or with rules.
* **Actor**: the user Aissist answers as (required).
* **Escalation**: the inbox that gets a conversation when Aissist escalates. If empty, Aissist only unassigns itself.
* **Handover Rules**: map sub-agents to inboxes, so each workflow hands over to the right team.
* **Chat ONLY**: the thinking message and handover message.

No additional steps are needed in HubSpot.

### How Aissist works in HubSpot

Aissist replies using your instructions, assets and actions.

It applies tags to help categorize conversations and trigger follow-up.

When a human should take over, Aissist summarizes the conversation and hands it to the escalation inbox or the inbox of the matching handover rule.

### Do it with Ask Engine

> Is our HubSpot gateway deployed, and which inboxes does it manage?

Ask Engine answers from the gateway's settings, including whether its connection is still valid.

### Best practice

* Start with one inbox and a dedicated user as the actor.
* Review the first conversations in **Deploy → Sessions** before adding inboxes.
* Use handover rules so sales and support conversations reach different inboxes.
